Regent Build

Regent Wide Turn Control Build

Stars do not have to be pure damage. Black Hole, Child of the Stars, and alignment-style cards let Regent turn the resource engine into safer, cleaner turns.

Opening Plan

Build the first working version

Big Bang connects draw, Energy, Stars, and Forge in one card. Black Hole or Child of the Stars then turns Star movement into pressure or block.

Draft Rule

Know when the package is real

Choose the job the Star engine must do. Mixing every payoff produces expensive hands that never reach a clean turn.

Synergy

How the pieces connect

Big Bang supplies every resource the turn wants at once. Gaining or spending Stars triggers Black Hole for damage, spending them triggers Child of the Stars for Block, and Alignment supplies the Energy needed to keep the chain moving.

How To Play It

Turn order that makes the package work

A rough sequence for the deck's key turn. Real runs shuffle the order, but this is how the pieces are meant to chain: set the engine, then spend into the payoff.

  1. Black Hole card artworkBlack Hole

Arm the trigger: now every Star gained or spent deals 3 to all enemies.

  2. Child of the Stars card artworkChild of the Stars

Arm the second trigger: spending Stars also converts into Block, so the turn defends itself.

  3. Alignment card artworkAlignment

Fund the chain: +2 Energy pays for all the Star movement you are about to cause.

  4. Big Bang card artworkBig Bang

Fire everything: draw, Energy, a Star, and Forge in one card, each Star hit and Block feeding the triggers.

Core Cards

The four cards that define the shell

These are engine markers, not four mandatory picks. The tier label follows the current character board; an unranked card can still be the narrow piece that completes this shell.

Relic Signals

Relics that make the lane stronger

These relics improve the package, but they are not entry tickets. Draft a working deck first and treat the relic as a reason to lean harder into a line that already functions.
