Defect Build

Defect Frost Control Build

When the route is threatening sustained damage, Frost is the cleanest answer. The trick is not just making Frost, but seeing enough cards to keep doing it.

Opening Plan

Build the first working version

Glacier supplies block and two Frost Orbs at once; Coolheaded keeps the deck moving while adding another Frost source.

Draft Rule

Know when the package is real

Frost buys time, but it still needs Focus or a separate damage plan. Do not mistake survival for a finish.

Synergy

How the pieces connect

Glacier and Chill load Frost quickly, while Coolheaded adds Frost without giving up card flow. Hologram returns the missing channel or payoff, and Gold-Plated Cables rewards careful rightmost-Orb placement.

How To Play It

Turn order that makes the package work

A rough sequence for the deck's key turn. Real runs shuffle the order, but this is how the pieces are meant to chain: set the engine, then spend into the payoff.

Anchor the wall: 6 Block and two Frost Orbs stabilize the turn immediately.

  2. Chill card artworkChill

Scale to the room: channel one Frost per enemy to blanket a crowded fight.

  3. Coolheaded card artworkCoolheaded

Keep moving: add another Frost and draw a card so the deck never stalls.

  4. Hologram card artworkHologram

Recover the piece: pull a spent channel or payoff back from the Discard while gaining Block.

Core Cards

The four cards that define the shell

These are engine markers, not four mandatory picks. The tier label follows the current character board; an unranked card can still be the narrow piece that completes this shell.

Relic Signals

Relics that make the lane stronger

These relics improve the package, but they are not entry tickets. Draft a working deck first and treat the relic as a reason to lean harder into a line that already functions.
