Defect Build

Defect Focus And Slots Build

This is the plainest and best Defect foundation. More Focus and more slots mean every later channel is worth more without changing how the deck plays.

Opening Plan

Build the first working version

Defragment improves every Orb immediately. Add extra slots only when the deck can fill them without losing the current turn.

Draft Rule

Know when the package is real

Balance Orb generation, Focus, and slots. Too much of any one piece leaves the board empty or the hand slow.

Synergy

How the pieces connect

Defragment raises every Orb passive and evoke value. Capacitor creates room for more Orbs, Loop repeats the rightmost passive, and Buffer protects the setup turn needed to assemble the board.

How To Play It

Turn order that makes the package work

A rough sequence for the deck's key turn. Real runs shuffle the order, but this is how the pieces are meant to chain: set the engine, then spend into the payoff.

  1. Defragment card artworkDefragment

Raise the floor: +1 Focus makes every Orb passive and evoke stronger for the rest of the fight.

  2. Capacitor card artworkCapacitor

Make room: +2 Orb Slots so the extra Focus has more Orbs to boost.

  3. Loop card artworkLoop

Compound the best Orb: trigger the rightmost passive an extra time every turn.

  4. Buffer card artworkBuffer

Protect the assembly: prevent the next HP loss so the board comes online before you take a hit.

Core Cards

The four cards that define the shell

These are engine markers, not four mandatory picks. The tier label follows the current character board; an unranked card can still be the narrow piece that completes this shell.

Relic Signals

Relics that make the lane stronger

These relics improve the package, but they are not entry tickets. Draft a working deck first and treat the relic as a reason to lean harder into a line that already functions.
